For the last 3 days, I've been to Batam, Indonesia. I didn't stay in the main island coz i've got some relatives staying off the island. They built their houses on stilts, near a forest. Those people are quite poor, so they used planks to built their homes and the bridge. When you walk across from one place to another, it's like you could anytime just fall into the water as the planks are either broken or wide apart.During that stay there, i tried fishing and catching 'Gong Gong'. 'Gong Gong' is a type of shell where there is meat in it. It's very funny(the place to find 'Gong Gongs') - when it's high tide, you don't see the land, but when it's low tide, the land could be seen. It's not totally covered with sand, but black clayey stuff. So when you step onto some parts, you will sink down. The first time i went there, i stepped on some seaweed, then after returning home, my legs started feeeling itchy. I didnt quite like going out to sea coz i've got seasick, then everytime the boat is still for quite sime time, i started feeling nausea. I really pity the people living there coz they're so poor - they live by catching fishes and prawns to sell in the market - and the children don't receive education, and also it's very difficult for us to communicate with them.Well, i had quite a relaxing holiday there, might want to go there again, someday.
