Today was the annual malay camp held at MOELC. Well, actually, I didn't want to go for I thought it would be boring, but it turned out to be so fun..!!
We had to be at the centre at 7.30a.m (god, have to wake up so early and go home so late at night..) HuiXian and I were supposed to meet at the MRT station, then I a was waiting for her call so that I can leave the house to meet her. Waited and waited, it was already 7am, then I decided to leave first, then when I was about to board the train, I saw her in the MRT carriage already. Woah! If I left later when she called me, we would have to waste some time waiting for each other, and we were almost late!
Duh!
Walked there, signed up at the booth, so sad that we had to be 'separated' into groups. First thing we did there was to get into groups and think of a cheer and have our name tags pinned onto our shirts or whatever. Then we went down to the canteen to have out breakfast. It was all spicy food, almost, so HuiXian had to eat what was not spicy...hee :))
I like the chilli fishballs, b'coz it's sweet and spicy..yum! And there's the kueh-kueh, sedap too!
After that, we had our first competition - making of batu seremban (5 stones). It took us about 40 minutes just to make 20 of the stones. Well, we got the first in this activity! Hurray for us!
Then we had the second competition - playing of the 4 stones. Ha..we got last in this..
We practised playing this game before that and we had to choose one representative from the group to challenge the rest of the team. Duh! JQ and JH told me to go up, but I didn't want, then that leader whose skills are better than me also don't want to go up, then in the end, I had to go..
OMG! I was like missing all the catches, and the stones keep falling on the ground and I had to waste time bending down to pick them up. The person standing next to me was like so pro at it and she was so so so pro lar. She got the 2nd I think so, 76 rounds in 10 minutes. The champion played 90+ rounds, while I got 23 rounds..ha..well, I beginner only wad!..
Then the teachers introduced to us 2 games for us to play - sepak raga and the round metal ring where u have to roll it across with a stick. Looking at the teacher playing seems easy but in actual fact, it's so damn difficult! Just 2 seconds later, the ring will fall to the ground..haha..:D
I wasn' that hungry during lunch, so JQ and I went to find the teacher to borrow the sepak raga to play, and we were like shunning the ball everytime we kick it each other. I'm so scared of the ball. Come to think of ot, during the 'training' session, in our groups, EnHui and the rest of the girls were like screaming all the time when the guys kick the ball to us..that was so funny!!
And after that, we had a sort of 'amazing race'- like race..where we had to do a task at each station. We got last for this again!! Aye.. We were stuck at quite a few stations,especially the one where we had to write down the ingredients used for each type of food. I think we spent about 20mins there, when already one group had reached the finishing point. Shalln't talk about it anymore..
Damn it! I had a stomach pain during the malay literature lesson, and I was almost sleeping through the whole lesson. Then at the end of it, we had to compose a poem of any theme. My group chose 'Cinta'. The poem we created was so funny lol. It was something like this : When I look into your eyes, my heart beats faster. Is this love? Love oh love!..."cinta oh cinta' I love this phrase..!
I really can faint from this pain! Then JQ gave me a cup of hot tea, and it's like a immediate cure and the pain just disappeared! Thanks lots! Now I know I should drink hot drinks next time..
In the auditorium, we presented our poems and there's the prize presentation. We only got one prize and that was for the making of 5 stones. Then we got 2 other consolation prizes..well, I was happy though..finally could go home. Took our packet dinner and went home.
I wanted to watch the last fireworks, but I was really too tired to go there. When I reached home, I ate my dinner and watched tv. My parents had ordered pizza, but it ahd already been 1+ hours since they ordered it. And at about 8pm did the pizza man came to deliver them. They were supposed to go to Marina Bay to watch the fireworks, but because of this delay, they had to watch it at the tall buildings near my house. The pizza was not really that nice, just the ingredients, and the crust and base was so thin! Only about 2 mm thick?! Finally went to have a bath and here I am writing this blog before going to bed.
