Today's my mum's company day?? Went to Sungei Buloh Nature Reserve Park..an odd place to get together for gathering isn' it? And it's so far from the city..at Kranji..Did I realise that Sungei Buloh is somewhere further up the road where we went for the Battlefield trip - the reservoir there, where the British poured oil over the surface of the sea and lit it with fire, killing many Japanese..I only realised this when we passed many dirty and ugly-looking factories and the 3 tall buildings??I had to wake up at 6.30am, and leave the house at 7.15am as we have to reach the office at 8.45am. Then we had lunch at HAN'S..I had my favourite sandwich(cheese and egg)..but this time, it had a kind of odour, maybe because of the cucumber?, it tasted bitter. My mum was very frustrated because my brother took a very long time to finish half of the sandwich, and we were nearly late! Well, I also couldn't stand him, he's like a snail! Wonder if he's reincarnated from a snail??After we reached Sungei Buloh, we were divided into small groups where a volunteer guide would take us around..I looked at the brochure and it stated there that it would take one more than 5 hours to tour the whole area..and we are only spending about an hour or so there only, and it's like so short?! The guide is a Caucasian, and it's like odd to see a foreigner guide a local for a local tour..At first, there were lots of mosquitoes around the area, and we all were like busy scratching ourselves instead of listening to the guide speak..and well, there's something I'd like to say. I find that some people are quite odd. They wear very short shorts and sleeveless shirts or even tubes to a park when they know there would be lots of blood-sucking mosquitoes?!! They are practically feeding a whole clan of mosquitoes! But later on, I got used to it. During the tour, I could only see mudskippers..big and small..but after the tour, I saw a huge changable lizard or komodo lizard on the tree and in the pond outside the centre. Then we were like "Wow! So cute.." The lizard must be thinking "Suakus..first time seeing me?" LOL!Well, I enjoyed the trip and really hope to come back again the next time and spend the whole day enjoying the view and the nature. Then we had our lunch at a restaurant outside the park, and we were asked to buy plants?! But I didn't..And after that, it's time to rush home to get my tuition stuff and rush to tuition..I guess I'm always rushing to or from tuition these few Saturdays..busy schedule.. hee. :P
