The first day of the training camp has finally gone..and I can get a good night's sleep before preparing for tomorrow's tough training..bleh!
Ok..here's what happened during the training :
Gathered outside guides den at 7.30am. Waited for the Mayflower Guides(I think?) for an hour till 8.30am before starting the events..
First up, we've got the 'lesson' from the Montfort scouts on making a flagpole..
We took quite a long time getting that done..
It was quite stupid(my group)..having them tied the thing to show to us how it looked like, then loosen the ropes, showed us how to tie the poles together etc..Then they got us to loosen the ropes again and re-tie the whole thing.. -.-`
OMG! The weather's darn hot..it's freakingly scorching hot!!! Just a few hours under the sun and some of us got sunburn(including me)..lols :P
After this 'short' little thing on flagpole, we had a break..called the Elevenses. It was 10am, so Naf was like arguing with the ma'ms that it being called 'tenses'..
It was just bread with some stuff in it(jam, peanut butter, kaya and tuna). Sorta' didn't had the appetite to consume these food..would rather have my cheese bread which was in my bag..but anyway, took one peanut butter bread and ate it all up.
Couldn't have the blueberry drink(or cordial as a few call it) coz we can't use the plastic cups they provided..well, a few of our own guides had very large bottles of their own, so they used to it fill the drink..and the rest of us(the poor little ones) were left with no other choice but to drink water from the cooler..bleh!
(I have a bad memory, so can't really remember what happened in sequence)I can't remember whether we had lunch first or the Jacob's ladder..but anyway, I slacked most of the time. Stayed in the shade while a few and the scouts made the ladder(which turned out to be unsuccessful). They took quite long..really felt like going for a nap..
After that, had some kind of water break, people rushed for toilets and drinks...had to keep the ropes, poles or spars..duh duh duh..
At the end of the activity, before our guests left, we presented a small little token to each school(Montfort scouts and SengKang guides).
When they left at about 3.30pm, we proceeded on with our own activities(why do they have to keep us till 6?). Had the amazing race thingy, chair thingy and spider strings??..We're already so tired and they still made us run here and there, up and down??!!
3 hours finally passed and it was 6pm!! Yay! We can finally go home!! :))
And the first thing I did when I reached home was to switch on the computer, grab a cup of iced drink and sit in front of the computer. Checked the Neopets' Tale of Woe plot..I'm feeling so down now.. :(( Couldn't get the chance to beat the Mayor Thumburt..I think he was already beaten early in the morning at 3am(11nst as predicted?)..It's just so sad.. :(( *boohoohoo*
*sniff* Going to bed now..saving my energy for tomorrow's activities..but I just can't get over with the plot!! Argh!!
