I'm feeling so happy today! Went out to watch a movie with Tan Cheng..at Vivocity!
We met at AMK MRT station at about 11am, then took the train to Harbourfront..
I've been here before(when playing amazing race..haha..) so I sort of know the way around..
Anyway, there are always new things for us to explore..
So the first thing we did was to purchase tickets for Night At The Museum. We thought that since we did not watch Death Note 1, we shall not watch the second series as it was connected to the first and we'll not know what happened in the first series.
We had a hard time searching for the cinema..We thought it would be at the top floor, which was the third, but it turned out to be the second floor. There was quite a long queue there already but luckily, we did not have to wait long to buy our tickets. There were only front seats for the 1pm show, so we watched the 2pm show. We've got quite good seats - third row from the back, two seats at the corner.
As there was like more than an hour's time before the show started, we walked around the shopping centre before having our lunch at Food Republic! We did not buy anything as we did not bring much money with us and we've already spent $7 on the movie tickets! Then we went up to the third floor where the food court was..there were many people there and we had a hard time searching for seats. We saw a few empty seats but were deciding whether to ask the person there if it was empty, but we're too..shy you could say to ask, so we waited until people left the table, permanently before settling ourselves down. We found a table with four empty seats, then Tanch was like..there are four seats and there are only two of us..blah. but anyway we seated ourselves down for we're feeling a little hungry..
We bought minced pork noodles! Though it's expensive, it sure tasted great! Yum! I love the taste! $4 for a bowl of noodles, worth it! But there could be much cheaper noodles out there..anyway, this is a shopping centre so things are likely to be more expensive..
As there was still quite some time, we walked around again..you could get lost quite easily there for you don't know where you came from and you don't know where you're heading to.. So we got a map of the mall from the information counter. The lady at the counter was a little rude though! We're only getting a map from here and her face suddenly turned 'black'! Bleh! What attitude is this..no wonder our service dropped so drastically!
When it was about 1.45pm, we walked back to the cinema. We bought a popcorn combo which costs $7! Same price as a movie ticket! We had to take the escalator up to the entrance and there's another snacks bar..
Woah! Gold Class movie sounds great! You get special seats and service! Wow! But it's too expensive for us..haha..
Yay! It's movie time! The starting was something like that: Larry, the main character, was finding a job that was stable so that his son will not despise him. So he got the job as a security guard at the musuem! When he first arrived there, the three old guards told him the rules and etc. Then at night, he was alone..He didn't know that the exhibits would come alive at night so he was very afraid when the t-rex came charging at him. He called one of the old guards about it and he told him to read the rules. Rule no. 1- throw the bone
While he was at a lost, a bone dropped from the t-rex. So he took the bone and threw it as far as he could and the t-rex ran after the bone! Then it came back to him and wanted him to play with him! It was so funny when the t-rex bend down and wagged its tail at him..and everybody was like laughing.. ((:
Then the show started to get hilarious! It was so funny that we were almost laughing throughout the whole show! You must watch this movie! It's funny! And it might make you want to visit a museum after that..
It's quite different here. Most of the time, after a show, you'd be out of the shopping centre, but it's different here. You came back to where the ticket office is. And we could see more people queueing up to purchase tickets. And the queue was until minitoons! Long right?
There wasn't much to see so we decided to go to plaza sing. We went into Action City to look at the cutie toys!! Then..I saw Zoe! I didn't know she was working there..haha..then we chatted for a few minutes..for she's working! Then we walked around the whole shopping centre. We're shopping for free! I'd just wish I had enough money then I could buy some stuff..Spotlight, Daiso, Sasa etc. It was about 6pm when we finally decided to return home.
I'm now feeling quite tired..didn't get enough sleep yesterday..but when I reach home, I suddenly felt energised! I guess TV will always make me stay awake.. :))
I just felt as though I'm starting relax, then I got to know that we've got to do 3 proficiency badges, cca open house preparations and I still haven't completed my homework! Gosh! I'll be doing last minute work again! When will I ever not do things at the eleventh hour??
