Woke up early in the morning as I had to reach Chua Chu Kang Lot 1 shopping mall at 10a.m.Wearing full guides uniform took me almost an hour..and that left me with 15 minutes to have my breakfast..I'm meeting Jing Qiu and Izzah at 9a.m. at the Ang Mo Kio MRT station. When we reached there, we saw Kai Ling already waiting for the train..then when the train was arriving in 2 minutes time, we saw another guide crossing the road..and that was Lisa! So we waited for Lisa to arrive even though we missed that train. But anyway, we reached there on time..There were five of us there, and the stocks were not here yet, so the guider told us to walk around the shopping mall until 10.10a.m.We returned a little earlier than that time and sat around the area. Then the guider got a call saying that the stocks are here and all of us went down to the carpark with 2 NTUC trolleys to carry the boxes up. There were only chocolate cream and macadamia cookies only..the mint was probably sold out yesterday..We couldn't start selling the cookies without our own guider-in -charge(Mdm Hasniza), so we waited for her to arrive..and you know what?!She arrived at about 11a.m.!! That's like one hour later than the given time.So we immediately set off to look for 'customers'.. Although it was quite early, there were many people in the shopping mall already! But we couldn't sell the cookies inside the mall..so we walked and stood outside.People were like rushing to some place and they weren't even listening to what we're going to say(how rude of them!).. and they just walked off..*humph*Stood around for more than 2 hours before having our lunch break..During that 2 hours, I sold only 2 tins of cookies..(pathetic ehh..) while Jing Qiu sold about 7 boxes?! That's incredible!I guess Singaporeans are really Singaporeans..when it comes to donation stuff, they wouldn't even look at it..We asked people politely if they want to buy cookies..some people treated us as though we're invisible and walked away while others nodded their heads or put out their hand..Only a handful of kind people bothered to ask us about the cookies..I guess it's too expensive and it's too big so that's why the sales was quite poor..They could have redesigned the container and sold it at a cheaper price(fewer cookies obviously)..Then maybe more people would consider buying it..It's quite difficult for people to take out $10 note than $2 or $5 note right?Well, after our shift, we counted the number of boxes we've sold and tallied the amount of money earned..We've sold a total of 40+boxes, earned a total of $446..I'm not going to do this anymore..it's tough job! Legs and arms are already aching at the end of the job..Lol..and the moment I came back..I'm sat down in front of the computer playing Neopets!! :)
