BeiJing, 7/06-17/06
Day 1-7/06/07
Woke up at about 6a.m, washed up got ready all the stuff. Left house at about 7.am. Plane leaves at 8.45a.m, so we had to check in by 7.45a.m. We're flying on SQ plane..and I'm so excited coz it's my first time!!
The flight is about 6 hours long, so it can be quite boring. Well the good thing about SQ planes is that there is a small screen for everyone so that we can watch any movies or play any games(the games are a little boring though). Lunch was delicious! Black pepper beef! Yum! Kids' meal tastes better and they have chocolate cakes!! Argh! So unfair!
Wanted to study, but I was too engrossed in playing. LOL.
After sitting on a chair for 6 long hours, we finally reached BeiJing! I don't like the airport. It seemed that the exits are very unorganised. My aunt got 2 cars to fetch us from the aiport to her house. The drivers seemed to be very unhappy about our late arrival. How can they put the blame on us? Don't they know that planes can be late too?!? Duh!
I was tired so I just slept in the car(as in laid the head against the window..) The ride was quite long, probably due to the traffic jam. It's only 4p.m+ and there's a traffic jam!
I love my aunt's house! It's like a 5-star hotel room! (: I miss my aunt and cousin!! Haven't seen them for about 6 months!!
It was quite late in the day so we couldn't do much but to shop around in the shopping centres nearby. There's this quite high-class shopping centre nearby. The things aren't quite cheap, but cheaper than things sold in Singapore though. After window-shopping for some time, we went to a small restaurant at the basement. The food's quite ok.. The beer is so cheap! Less than $3 per bottle. The soft drinks however are a little more expensive than the beer! Wierd!
The thing I don't like about it is that people are allowed to smoke in air-conditioned places, and I just hate that! While you're eating, you can smell the irritating smoke that makes you lose your appetite. Dinner costed about S$25 for 7 people. Cheap ehh??
After dinner, we went to shop in the supermarket - C-mart. There's nothing to buy coz there's nothing I like about it.. Then we went home.
I was looking through the vcds my aunt has and I found this very nice korean show - Tree of Heaven/ 天国的树/ 천국의나무. I don't know how to read the korean words.. The show is very touching..and my mum and I were like crying every second. The male actor 李莞 looks more handsome after he cut his hair..haha..and I like 朴信惠!! She's quite pretty.. =) You must watch this show!! Haiz..the ending is quite sad though.. *sniff..*

Day 2 - 8/06/07
Left home quite late. We shopped around 秀水街. I don't shopping there coz you have to bargain with the shopkeeper and it's like if you don't buy when you looked at it for a long time, the shopkeepers will start scolding you. They are being very unreasonable. The things there are also qutie expensive. The amount they ask for is sometimes 200% the cost price. For a shirt that costs RMB120, you can bargain the price to around RMB50. In the end, we did not buy anything. Then we walked to a small restaurant for lunch.

The food is quite delicious, and our lunch costs around RMB150.
Then we took the train to 天安门东station. You have to buy tickets at a small kiosk inside the station and the tickets cost quite expensive. Then before you go down to the platform, someone will be there to check your ticket. It's quite an old method and time consuming..
At 天安门东, we walked around. The weather's quite hot and dry so you would not feel you were sweating. Then we went to a travelling agent nearby. We took nearly 2 hours to book a trip for 5 to Xi'an! It was quite late already so we went home. For dinner, we had Japanese meal with aunt Evone and her two kids-Jerrick and Xavier. I love the food! It's so yummy! Total cost: >RMB500. They say it's quite cheap for 10 people compared to here.
I was so full after dinner. When we returned home, we started packing our luggage that we'll be bringing to Xi'an.

Day 3- 9/06/07
Had a simple breakfast- 2 slices of bread with Nutella spread and a cup of tea. Then we shopped around 世贸天阶, went to the Korean restaurant located at the basement. The food isn't really that nice, but I like the Bibimbab! I also learnt a new word: 주ju which means beer. LOL.
