Anderson Clover Guides Annual Campfire
Date : Friday, 27th July 2007
Theme : Joie De Vivre (Joy Of Life)

After working so hard for more than a month, our efforts have finally paid off! Firstly, I personally feel that the campfire is successful! Secondly, structure is quite nice! And, sec 3 dance was great!!
Ahhhhh!! I suddenly feel a sense of relief and relaxation! I can finally rest and have a good night's sleep after staying in school till 7p.m for about 2 weeks.
Ok..I'm not praising my patrol only.. Lol.. Backdrop is wonderful! The idea of using cellophane paper was unique and I like the pop up people! They look so cute! (:
Although it rained heavily in the morning till around 3 p.m, we still had our campfire in the hall. Well, having it in the hall may be a good thing either. Although carrying the benches and tables up from the canteen to the hall was a tiring job, we still managed to do it. Well, if we had our campfire in the field, we'd have to carry 20 benches, around 400 chairs, cables etc to the field. It will be more tiring than carrying the stuff to the hall.
And about gateway, we have to thank the 'Bishan Park' scouts for their tremendous help for the past 2 weeks. Although I haven't really seen the gateway, I can see that it's very tall! and much better than the previous year one. You know what it proves? It proved that guys are much much stronger than us females. Well, it is a fact that we can't deny..
Oh, there's the fire committee! I love the whole concept. It was so cool when they hung the decos here and there and there's the flying fox thingy. The felt cloth soft toy and the light thingy was cute. Ke lian de bao yi.. can't do much for fire.. "why must it rain so heavily today?" Well, we can't blame the weather anyway..it's La Nina now lor.
Now, about my committe- structure. What do you all think about it? I think it's quite ok.. Yay! Harry Potter font!! Haha =P
After the campfire, we quickly cleared everything. Some helpful people helped us untie the structure, carried the benches to the canteen.. Thank you everyone!!!!
Clear this, wipe this table, throw this rubbish away..time passes so quickly. It's 10p.m now. Most people have already left, leaving the gateway people to bring down the gateway. They were working on it until around 10.30p.m when Hui Xin ma'am told them to keep up and we shall continue that on Monday. I stayed back to help out with the gateway, and wait for YC too. Luckily didn't take gateway. It's more tiring than structure. And due to the rain, the knots and lashings are more difficult to remove.
Well, the campfire's over now. But I shall remember this very night for as long as I can.. I really enjoyed it!! OMG! I hope that it would just continue like this till the next day.. (just a wishful thinking).
I love campfires I love campfires I love campfires! Guess I'm CRAZY over it..
Ok.. it's nearing midnight now. Shall stop here now.. Good night! ((:
