I can't believe I stayed up till midnight for the past two days just to watch Asian Idol 2007!
And I can't believe Hady Mirza of Singapore won the competition?!?
Well excuse me, he's not the best among those 6 yet he won? This is ridiculous!
I do think Jac or Mike should win the title. They've got nice, powerful voices (Jac's was super high pitched man), and Hady's was quite soft and it sounded as though his voice is stuck in his throat.
And the idea of typing 2 country codes in 1 sms was unneccesary. Although Singapore has the smallest population, but almost all the citizens owns a handphone. I don't think everyone in countries like Indonesia and Vietnam owns a handphone? Well anyway, my point is that this 'sms-voting' way of choosing our idol is not 'practical' in choosing a real idol.
I don't know what others feel about the real meaning of 'idol', but to me, it means having a great voice that sounds pleasant to all ears, and having a face which most can accept.
...Talking about a good-looking face, it reminds me of Phuong Vy! She's so so so B-U-TIFUL!! (The tall male host is lustful!!)...
Ok back to reality, I'm sure the 'XXX Idol' and phone company has earned loads of money from yesterday's big big competition. Millions of votes for 60 cents each? Wow! 1 mil x 0.6 = 600k!! That sure is a lot of money.. And that's how Asians wasted their money. :(
Oh well..
