Today's the eve of Christmas; tomorrow's Christmas, the festival I'm always looking forward to!
On this very day, I did some homework before setting off for Harbourfront to look for my dad in his office. Took about an hour's time to reach there, then spent another 30 minutes waiting for him to get ready. At about 2.30 pm, we finally went down to the shopping area for lunch. He had wanted to take me to the ramen restaurant, but in the end, we went to Sakae Sushi.
Had a very filling lunch there. Between us, we shared a bowl of cheese udon (it was too cheesy and sour), a bowl of cha soba, a plate of soft shelled crab, a plate of kakiage and six plates of sushi. That's a lot right?? And dad had an extra 'cup' of sakae chawanmushi. I couldn't have that coz it contained alcohol, plus I was filling quite full then. :)
And guess how much we spent there? It was $36!! To me, I feel it's quite X for two people. (And I think I shall keep mum about this from my mum, who's holidaying in Batam!)
Later on, we walked around Vivocity shopping mall. I thought it was quite small, but it turned out to be quite big. Went Daiso. Didn't like the arrangement there and I couldn't find what I wanted. Dad bought a pack of containers for dunno what reason. He gave me a $10 note but I used my $2 note coz I only bought 1 item and the queue was long. Hah! I paid for his stuff. That was his Christmas pressie!! :P Lol.
It was quite late when we came out of the shop. Then we went down to level 1 to search for the shop that his supplier's wife opened. It was a shop that sold evening gowns and dresses that could cost you thousands. (Heard that the min. price of a dress is $200+!?!) Wow! Then I saw a notice on the glass stating that they are looking for a part-time worker! I want to work!! But then guess that'll be next year's stuff, and school's reopening in a week's time.
(I still haven't completed 80% of the holiday homework!! I have never in my whole life completed holiday homework in time. )
Well, talking about Christmas, I have many many wishes and wants that I would like to do. I want to be able to bake proper and edible cookies, cook up some wonderful stuff for lovely people etc so that I can organise a mini Christmas party someday for my wonderful friends and family. :) And I want to be like Nigella Lawson. She's such a wonderful cook. Her recipes are well, quite 'ok' for my standard. :P I want to make chocolate mousse, fudge, cupcakes...
Oh well, guess that'll only come true ten years later.. :(
Just 6 more hours to Christmas.
So, here, I wish everyone a MERRY MERRY CHRISTMAS!! CHEERS! (cocktails are nice stuff to have for a christmas meal :))
